This is another good and meaningful blog post, Marilyn. Thanks for continuing to do this work. I can attest that connecting with people personally bears a lot of fruit. It isn't easy, and it takes time, but it is well worth the effort. Thanks for all you do.

I like the way you framed the categories of actions. It really helps to communicate to non- or new activists how they could see what is available to do.

About your comments on the Democrat party: yes, weak as water. I’m a registered Democrat but I don’t see myself as a Democrat. I’m way more left. At this point, and even for decades, this was and is the only available option in this two-party system. At this point, the Democrats are the opposition party so it doesn’t matter (to me) that they’re not ideal. There are only three options:

1. Vote Republican

2. Vote Democrat

3. Don’t vote

That’s about all we have. The choice is clear. It’s vote Democrat. 🤷🏽

i'm with you 100%. There is a lot in this world I can't fathom, but why people like leftist policies until they are labeled leftist is one of them!
